Scholarships

Scholarship application       

The Oklahoma Public Health Association (OPHA) is committed to enhancing educational opportunities in public health.  OPHA is taking applications for its annual academic scholarship to be awarded to an OPHA member(s), enrolled full or part-time, post high school.  Applicants must be enrolled in a school that is sponsored or accredited by an Oklahoma based college or university.  Graduate students are not eligible.  The amount to be awarded this year will be up to a total of $1000.00 to be distributed among one or more students.

Student membership is $10.00.  Others, who may apply for the scholarship but may not qualify for student membership, or are not covered under a corporate membership (Oklahoma City-County Health Dept., and Tulsa Health Dept.), pay dues of $30.00 for a one-year membership. You do not have to be a member to apply for the scholarship.  

The scholarship application contains eligibility criteria and application requirements.  Completed applications and necessary documentation must be postmarked by April 8, 2011 and mailed to:

The selection will be made and all applicants will be notified by April 14, 2011.  The recipient also will be announced at the Association’s annual conference at the Embassy Suites Conference Center in Norman, Oklahoma on April 20-21, 2011 at the Awards Ceremony.
