Oklahoma Public Health Association


The Oklahoma Public Health Association posts information on upcoming OPHA events and information on public health related events of other agencies that we believe our members may be interested in attending. 

Each Year in conjunction with its Annual Membership Meeting, the Oklahoma Public Health Association holds a 1-2 day educational conference that focuses on providing new information and research on current public health issues and best practices.  This annual conference is open to all members and non-members who are interested in public health issues.

    Online registration will close on September 21, 2017.

    On-site registration will be available at conference, payment by cash or check only.

    Pre-Conference will be held on Wednesday, September 27th - $25.  Speaker and presenter information will be posted ASAP.

    By submitting your registration for the conference, you agree to the terms of registration and limitation of liability.

    Cancellations must be sent in writing to the OPHA office.  Cancellations received by September 15th will receive a refund of their registration fee less $10 Service Charge.

    The rate at the Renaissance Tulsa Hotel Convention Center  for $91.00 USD  per night

    Participants are responsible for making their own reservations by 11:59 p.m. on September 5th, 2017, to receive the group rate.

    Conference Objectives

    • ·       Explore how programs, practices, and policies in multi-sector fields affect the health of individuals, families and communities.
    • ·       Identify common goals, complementary roles, and ongoing constructive relationships between the private sector, health and human service agencies, the Oklahoma State Legislature and the following State Departments: Education, Housing, Transportation, Agriculture, the Health Care Authority and the Department of Health and Human Services.
    • ·       Promote participation in policy-making and implementation of the Social Determinants of Health.
    • ·       Explore key issues impacting poverty and social inequity in Oklahoma.
